Named after the pitch black, treacherous waters around Cape Byron before its lighthouse was built, this elevated Milk Stout spent a long, slow slumber inside hand-selected whisky barrels from their distilling neighbors. It pours a deep, opaque obsidian with a dense, creamy mocha crown. On the nose, it hits you with a beautiful, warming aromatic payload of charred vanilla oak, rich tobacco, and single malt complexity.
